As a blog (and brand) Eager Existence is a travel resource for the independent and solo traveller, for the adventurer, the budget backpacker, and the storyteller. It’s also about achieving goals and stepping outside of your comfort zone. About pushing past the fear, and worrying less.
So where does Eager Existence come from?
EagerExistence isn’t only about travel, although that makes up a huge percentage of the content.
Here we understand that not everybody can be a full-time nomad, leaving their jobs and responsibilities behind, packing a bag and taking off solo on a multi-year trip (although that’s exactly how this blog started).
Some people like the package tours, some people like the short holiday breaks, and some people just like to drool over travel photos from the safety of their armchair.
That’s fine with us too.
But this site is really about making the most of the time you have, you only have one life, so make use of it. Live an eager existence, and enjoy being exactly where you are, right now.
If you are new to the site, we recommend reading the “new here?” pages.
That should give you a great introduction into why the blog was started, the founder, and a few good posts to start reading.
Why you should read this blog
So it’s not just another “cubicle-dweller-who-quit-the-9-5-for-world-travel” blog.
- The focus is on achieving goals (and bucket lists), not just creating them, but making them happen.
- There is a lot of content on hospitality exchanges (CouchSurfing is the greatest travel resource ever).
- In general, it’s about budget backpacking: making the dollar last, without sacrificing a good time in the process.
- We bring you interesting discoveries and stories of travellers, adventurers, and people doing amazing things.
- There’s bound to be a few misadventures along the way.
