Redesigned Website

Posted by Ian in Announcements

You may have noticed a few changes around here.

I had the website redesigned to make it a little easier to use. It’s still not exactly what I want, I couldn’t afford that. But it’s getting there.

We ask that you please be patient during the first few weeks of transition. There will be a few links that may not work, and a few images that may not display. As we find them, we will have them fixed up. Be sure to get in touch if you spot any that we don’t.

Now for a virtual tour:

The main categories of interest can be found on the top navigation menu. Being EagerExistence is a travel and lifestyle blog, most of the topics will be about travel or goal setting, with a few health & fitness posts thrown in, and the occassional off topic rant.

You can subscribe to the RSS feed of any topic, or if you want to hear everything I have to write about, you can subscribe to the whole lot. The blog menu allows you to filter down to the area you are most interested in reading about.

On the homepage you will see a slider of the featured (most recent) posts.

Below that is an interview panel of interesting people that have written posts for the blog. You can contact me to get your name added to the guest list, or just wait until I organically discover something awesome you are doing with your life.

Interviews with Folks doing Awesome things

The Goals page is a showcase of how I am going with checking off my personal bucket list.

Whats next on my bucket list

It’s also where I show you interesting posts about how to get the most out of your existence.

The Travel page includes itineraries of trips taken, recommendations and suggestions, a journal of my personal story, and the ever-changing upcoming travel plans.

Via the travel page you can also find all posts on CouchSurfing, and the wonderful misadventures I find myself having.

The map page links you to countries visited. There is a graphic, and a list version.

Map of all the destinations travelled

On the subject of maps, you can always link to the places I check-in on FourSquare, and keep track of where I’ve just been.

All-in-all I’m trying to focus this site less on my personal journey through travel, and more on inspiring travellers/adventurers around the world; since I can’t be perpetually travelling, and I will run out of travel stories and tips sooner-or-later.

And who wants to hear me bang on all the time about travel and goal-setting when you can learn by example?

If you would like to be featured on the site then get in touch and tell me what awesome adventures you are having/planning.

Ian the new and improved Eager Existence is fantastic.
Easy navigation, nice look/feel and I am excited about the interview section.

Kudos and all the best!

Maria, I am excited about the interviews section too. Its good to highlight cool stuff other people are doing… and much more effective than a link-roll.
