Goals are the fundamental building blocks of success… Without goals, you are living reactively, letting life push you around. With goals, you can live a proactive life, steering toward a destination. You know where your path is supposed to lead. JD Roth

It doesn’t even have to be about writing down all the things you want to do before you die. It can be about living life, and all the things you want to do while you’re alive!
What Not To Do
You shouldn’t just be adding things to your list because they are popular, or someone you know did it and had a great experience. It should hold some weight with you personally.
Chasing other people’s dreams would be like having a hole in your bucket. Tatsuya Nakagawa
Your Bucket List shouldn’t be a wish list. Many people (you see their boards on pInterest) create these lofty dreams of things they want to achieve someday with no real plan to get things done. It’s just an exercise in fantasy, a self-indulgent day dream when there’s a bit of free time to be spent navel-gazing.
Goals don’t materialize out of thin air. They take planning and preparation. You can’t just snap your fingers and lose 30kg. You have to create a pattern, a routine. Start slowly. Reprogram your bad habits. And work your way up to your goal. It’s important to make your goals achievable (but not to easily acheived), and manageable. It will bring you great joy when you start crossing things off.
Creating the list is easy, but in 10 years time do you want to look back on it and realize that you failed? You have to have the intention of doing it, and not just have it happen.
Snap out of the daily monotony and realize that growing older doesn’t have to be dreadful if you live every year like it’s your last. Celine Novenario
